Security Officer - Retail Mall Access

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Access in Florence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a retail location, you will be responsible for access control and regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and communication will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vendors at the retail location by verifying credentials and granting entry as authorized.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions or assistance to individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
