Security Officer Screening Operations Job in Fontana, California

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Fontana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support access procedures with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen entrants, personal property, and permitted items in accordance with site procedures, using screening equipment and manual inspection methods when appropriate.
- Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and communicating access requirements in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying site contacts when needed.
- Support routine security-related presence throughout assigned areas by observing conditions, reporting unusual activity, and following post orders and/or special instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
