What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, review identification and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity in accordance with post orders and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting suspicious activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that could impact security-related operations.
- Support screening and visitor management functions, provide directions and site information, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent presence and professional communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
