What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
- Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post orders and applicable screening protocols while reporting prohibited items or unusual findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and support compliance with identification, credential, and visitor management procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency representatives as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, screening checkpoints, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
- Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
