Security Officer Armed Facility Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Facility Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support the enforcement of site rules, visitor procedures, and other security-related protocols.
- Assist with emergency situations, medical calls, evacuations, and/or facility disruptions by following post orders and coordinating with first responders and management representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Guard card is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
