What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to enforce site rules regarding restricted areas, deliveries, and after-hours access.
- Support emergency and incident response by assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination during medical, fire, weather, and/or workplace disturbance events in accordance with post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Candidates must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Candidates must have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
