Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Job in Fort Wayne, Indiana

As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a construction-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, respond to alarms, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at an active construction location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established channels as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of construction areas, building perimeters, parking locations, gates, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor contractor, visitor, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
- Report observed hazards, damaged barriers, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
