Security Guard Access Control Driver Job in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey

As a Security Guard Access Control Driver in Franklin Lakes, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while conducting routine patrols. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with healthcare location requirements.
- Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor badges or temporary credentials, and report discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
