Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Specialist

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Franklin Park, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the site to help to deter security-related incidents while remaining a visible and approachable presence. Your focus will be on maintaining a secure environment, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities within the food and beverage environment.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors while representing Allied Universal at the location.
• Support access control procedures and assist with monitoring entrances and exits as required.
• Document incidents and/or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
