Security Officer Unarmed Distribution Center Full Time Overnights Job in Fredericksburg, Virginia

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Control in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing and monitoring badges, and responding to access-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to healthcare facilities, restricted areas, and designated entry points in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization; issue visitor passes and maintain accurate access-related records as required.
- Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
