Security Officer Unarmed - Copper Rd. Job in Freeport, Texas

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Copper Rd. in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and TSA-issued TWIC. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, spills, evacuations, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, gates, parking areas, buildings, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders; document daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
