Allied Universal Event Services® is hiring a Client Account Manager – Public Safety & Security.
The Account Manager – Public Safety & Security oversees all security, public safety, and event-related operations for a large, high-traffic facility or venue. This role ensures the safety of guests, employees, and property by supervising staff, managing daily operations, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with public safety agencies.
Ideal candidates bring military, law enforcement, emergency services, or public safety leadership experience and excel in fast-paced environments where strong decision-making, incident management, and operational oversight are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all public safety and emergency response activities across a large, complex operating environment.
Serve as the lead authority for escalated safety or security incidents until public safety partners assume control.
Oversee emergency action plans, including evacuations, shelter-in-place, missing persons, medical emergencies, and critical incident response.
Conduct routine and advanced risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
Plan and coordinate emergency drills and joint exercises with fire, EMS, and law enforcement.
Maintain readiness for high-risk scenarios such as large crowds, operational failures, or high-profile guest activity.
Manage security officers, supervisors, and event personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll oversight, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, post orders, operating procedures, and company policies.
Maintain and update operational documentation, including incident guides, security procedures, deployment plans, and emergency reference materials.
Oversee equipment inventory, including communications gear, uniforms, access control devices, screening tools, and safety equipment.
Maintain consistent visibility and awareness across all operational zones and high-traffic areas.
Serve as the primary liaison with client leadership, operations teams, and internal and external partners.
Attend operational briefings, planning meetings, walk-throughs, and debriefs.
Provide guidance on crowd management, access control, traffic flow, security staffing, and operational risk.
Build positive working relationships that promote a collaborative approach to safety and service.
Plan and oversee safety and security operations for special events, VIP visits, high-volume periods, and large gatherings.
Prepare deployment materials, including staff grids, assignments, access plans, and incident-response instructions.
Conduct pre-event briefings to ensure staff understand expectations and emergency procedures.
Complete accurate event closeout paperwork, incident reports, and evaluations.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and organizational policies.
Produce timely reports, including incident documentation, injury reports, training records, and operational summaries.
Utilize internal systems for staffing, scheduling, billing, and reporting accuracy.
Conduct audits of posts, equipment, logs, training records, and overall safety readiness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong command presence and confidence during emergencies.
Deep understanding of physical security, emergency preparedness, and risk management principles.
Skilled in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and rapid decision-making.
Proficient with reporting systems, scheduling platforms, operational technology, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, and a diverse workforce.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in security, public safety, military service, law enforcement, emergency management, or large-scale event operations.
Proven experience managing teams in high-risk or high-traffic environments.
Experience collaborating with public safety agencies and coordinating emergency responses.
Prior military (NCO or Officer), law enforcement, fire service, or EMS experience preferred.
Professional security certifications (ASIS CPP, PSP, or similar) preferred.
Experience in large-scale facilities such as stadiums, arenas, campuses, entertainment venues, or multi-site operations preferred.
Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, screening technology, and emergency communications systems.
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, or related field preferred.
Must meet applicable state and local licensing requirements.
Valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Indoor and outdoor work across large properties in varying weather conditions.
Regular walking, standing, observing, responding, and interacting with the public.
Ability to respond rapidly to emergencies across dispersed operational areas.
Must pass all required screenings, including background and drug tests (as permitted by law).
