Security Officer Screening Specialist

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Georgetown, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. This role offers the chance to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity at Allied Universal.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in support of established security-related policies and screening requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, entrance points, loading areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access in a logistics and distribution setting, helping to deter disruption, loss, and other security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
