As a Security Officer Armed Sector Patrol Driver in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, remaining prepared to carry out assigned armed post duties in accordance with site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.
- Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and/or equipment issues that could impact operations, and help to deter inappropriate behavior through visible presence and timely reporting.
- Assist with access control, badge or credential checks, vehicle and visitor screening, and/or other security-related support functions as directed by site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
