Security Officer Truck Gate Access Control

As a Security Officer Truck Gate Access Control in Gilbert, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness while delivering strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report discrepancies according to site procedures.
- Support day-to-day operations by observing truck traffic, reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns, and assisting with orderly access control during busy shipping and receiving periods.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
