As a Security Guard Full Time Front Desk Security in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence at a professional location, supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will help maintain an orderly environment by monitoring entry activity, responding to alarms and incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required entry records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Answer phones, provide general information and directions, and report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
