Security Officer Education Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer Education Patrol Full-Time in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at an education location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will play a key part in fostering a secure and welcoming environment, using your communication skills and professionalism to address concerns and support the needs of the community. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, and participate in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities thoroughly and accurately as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or students to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership and location personnel to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
