As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Digital Logging in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activities. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly campus operations, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
- Prepare accurate reports and documentation for incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
