Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Communications Job in Glendale, California

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Communications in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and contribute to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations on school grounds in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, assisting with directions, escorts, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized persons.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly, following site-specific reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
