Security Officer - Recycling Center Job in Grand Prairie, Texas

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in Grand Prairie, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms or concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities-related recycling and environmental technology location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and equipment storage locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports; communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
