As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Grandville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, tenants, and staff at a bustling retail or mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help prevent incidents, and responding to situations with professionalism and care. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, engage with the public in a friendly and helpful manner, and communicate clearly with both team members and visitors. This position also requires a valid driver's license, as you may be required to operate a vehicle to support your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support emergency response efforts, including guiding visitors and/or employees during evacuations or other critical events.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed, following established procedures.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
