Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in Granite City, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and/or notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor customer and visitor activity, assist with access and crowd flow at the location, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related concerns to site contacts.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing high-traffic areas, helping to address trespassing and/or disorderly conduct concerns, and following post orders for retail operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
