Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post requiring professionalism, strong communication, and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a defense industry location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations for restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
- Support access control, incident reporting, and post orders while handling sensitive environments and changing conditions with professionalism and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, and/or military experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
