As a Security Officer Full Time - Site Monitoring in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor alarm panels, assist visitors and employees, and support a welcoming, professional environment. Using computer or tablet systems, you will help deter security-related incidents through attentive communication and reliable badge access practices. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity, damaged access-control equipment, and potential hazards observed during assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
