Security Officer - Afternoons

As a Security Officer Screening Representative in Greenwood, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, helping monitor access points, observe activity, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. In this visible role, you will help to deter incidents through routine presence, clear communication, and strong customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Screen visitors, employees, and/or vendors entering the location, verify credentials and permitted items, and report irregularities through appropriate site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and client-directed communication protocols.
- Monitor entry points, manage visitor flow, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening practices and professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual activity and documenting security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
