Security Officer Patrol and Access Control

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a professional financial institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

- Provide customer service to staff, members, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, entrances, lobbies, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor processing in support of established site policies and daily operations.
- Support a professional atmosphere by reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, while providing courteous assistance and clear directions to people at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
