Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):
- Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee and visitor access badges.
Alarm Panel Experience (B202):
- Applicants should have experience operating alarm panels, including knowledge of alarm activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting procedures. Familiarity with various alarm systems is preferred.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, entering data, and utilizing communication tools effectively.
Customer Service Experience (B219):
- A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and visitors.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
