Security Officer Lobby Desk

As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control, and support badge-related processes while maintaining a professional presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service. In our agile, reliable, and innovative culture, you will put people first, work through teamwork, and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor visitor access at the front desk by greeting guests, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor records, and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Answer phones, manage incoming inquiries, and support badge distribution, package logging, and other front desk administrative duties tied to security-related operations.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site policies.
- Observe lobby and entry activity within a manufacturing and industrial location to help support authorized access and report concerns through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
