Security Officer Access Patrol

As a Security Officer Access Patrol in Hauppauge, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring team known for being agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic media and technology location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding security-related activities and/or unusual conditions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting potential issues at doors, gates, lobbies, and other access points as working conditions vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
