As a Security Guard - Healthcare Access Patrol in Hawthorne, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will be an important part of our team, delivering exceptional customer service and communication, while supporting our agile, reliable, and people-first culture. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and manage access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
• Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and/or vendors with access needs and general inquiries.
• Maintain a visible presence at designated access control points to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document access control activities and report any irregularities or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel to help to deter security-related risks within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
