Security Officer Screener

As a Security Officer Screener in Hayward, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or associates, and support access procedures with professionalism and care. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine security-related activities, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and innovation, this role offers a dynamic way to put your experience to work every day.

- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and established screening guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site leadership.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor and/or delivery activity to support security-related operations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and communicating security-related concerns as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
