Security Officer Overnight Warehouse Patrol Job in Hazelton Mills, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Patrol in West Hazleton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure access to facilities.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
Candidates should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using a computer or tablet for daily tasks. Proficiency in common software applications is preferred.CPR Certification (B205)
Candidates are required to obtain CPR certification. Allied Universal offers free training sessions for CPR certification, which candidates are encouraged to complete prior after their start date.Loss Prevention (B210)
Candidates must have a basic understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices. This includes knowledge of theft prevention techniques and the ability to identify potential security risks.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Report hazards, unusual conditions, damaged equipment, and security-related concerns to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
