Security Guard- Full Time

As a Security Officer Welcome Center Specialist in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location as a Front Desk professional, serving as a welcoming presence while supporting access control, badge management, and other security-related responsibilities. In this stationary role, you will help to deter incidents through professionalism, strong communication, and attentive customer service. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture, you will deliver reliable support in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor lobby and entrance activity at a commercial real estate location, greeting visitors, checking credentials, issuing access materials, and directing tenants, guests, and vendors according to property guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Answer phones, manage front desk inquiries, and support access control processes while helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly operations within the building.
- Complete reports, logs, and other required documentation related to visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related concerns observed at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
