Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Driver in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding promptly to occurrences. This driving post requires you to conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and interact professionally with visitors and staff to provide outstanding service and communication. You will be part of a supportive team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, all while acting with integrity and putting people first every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter.
• Observe for any suspicious activities or potential risks, and report findings according to company protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
• Document and report security-related incidents, occurrences, and any unusual situations using company systems.
• Support Allied Universal team members and client personnel during emergency situations or drills.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activities within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
