Security Officer Manufacturing Facility Day Shift Patrol Job in Hershey, Pennsylvania

As a Security Officer Patrol Digital Records in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
Candidates must be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize online resources effectively.Customer Service Experience (B219)
Candidates should possess a background in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in resolving customer inquiries and providing support is essential.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of food and beverage production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying throughout the location.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
- Report potential hazards, damaged property, unusual activity, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
