Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public-service agencies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with maintaining orderly movement of personnel, visitors, and vehicles through designated areas.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, observations, and other security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
