Security Officer Screening Reception

As a Security Officer Screening Reception in Hodgkins, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring entry activity, and providing professional customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to work with a team that values reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity while putting people first and helping to reduce security-related incidents through a visible, service-focused presence.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen people, packages, and personal property entering and leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter locations, noting conditions that could help to impact operations or security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident documentation while following location policies for prohibited items, visitor processing, and/or delivery activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
