Transportation Security Officer: Airport - All shifts

As a Transportation Security Officer: Airport - All shifts in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon
Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
Requirements:
- 18+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and actions according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and communicate with site contacts, employees, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, daily activities, and notable observations in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems with clear and professional communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
