As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements:
- 18+ Years of Age
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
