Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence throughout the location. This armed and driving position involves maintaining high visibility, monitoring assigned areas, and delivering outstanding customer service through professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a security-related presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately while maintaining confidentiality as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with on-site personnel and local law enforcement when necessary in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and adhere to all protocols related to the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
