Security Guard - Hospital - Full Time Job in Hopewell, Virginia

As a Security Guard Full Time Hospital Patient Support in Hopewell, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Healthcare Security Professional, supporting a caring hospital environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and exceptional customer service. You will help address security-related incidents, assist with access control, and support staff, patients, and visitors in sensitive areas, including morgue operations and behavioral health situations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with location procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
