Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government facility.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
