Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Customer Service Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Customer Service in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring, people-first culture by working collaboratively, responding with integrity, and contributing to a reliable, innovative environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, observing for unusual conditions and reporting findings.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as assigned, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and promptly communicating observed hazards, equipment concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
