Security Officer Armed Front Desk Security Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk Security in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will serve as a professional, welcoming presence while supporting security-related operations. You will greet visitors, verify access, monitor entry activity, maintain clear communications, and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government facility by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and access authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor entry activity, respond to access-control concerns, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Assist with administrative front-desk duties, including answering phones, providing directions, and communicating relevant information to site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 5+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
