As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed and driving patrol professional at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patrons and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and sensitive merchandise locations, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to site leadership according to post orders.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, following armed post protocols, and assisting with de-escalation during customer and/or employee concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
