What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control protocols.
- Verify credentials, monitor entry and exit points, and authorize access in accordance with location requirements.
- Maintain visitor logs, issue approved access badges, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facilities and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card/license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
