Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Level III Texas Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Level III Texas in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with management and public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
- Carry assigned firearm and other authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
