Security Officer Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving professional at a busy retail location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with customers and staff, respond to concerns, and support daily operations with strong communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver service through teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and point-of-sale surroundings to help support loss prevention efforts, access control, and orderly operations.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, assist with de-escalation during disturbances, and follow Allied Universal protocols for reporting, post orders, and use of equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
