Security Officer Armed Patrol Job in Houston, Texas

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Perimeter Inspection in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail grocery location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving and armed role is ideal for a reliable professional who acts with integrity, embraces innovation, puts people first, and works collaboratively to protect customers, team members, and property.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies at a retail grocery location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and security-related incidents, and complete accurate written reports.
- Maintain control of the assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
