As a Security Officer - Armed Shopping Center in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents in a dynamic retail location. This is an armed and driving position, where you will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and communication skills.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Remain alert to potential hazards and report any irregularities, unusual situations, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and procedures outlined by Allied Universal and the location.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Have an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
